Colour as stillness. The physical world and the unknown, human and nature, dissolving into one another.
Acrylic and mixed media on canvas.
My paintings hold a tension between the visible world and inner experience. Working in acrylic and mixed media, I create layered surfaces where landscape, atmosphere, memory, and the body begin to blur into one another. I am drawn to painting as a space where feeling can take form before it becomes fixed, and where an image can remain fluid, sensual, and open.
My process is intuitive, free-flowing, and at times architectural. I work through accumulation, erasure, repetition, and translucency, allowing forms to emerge and dissolve over time. Rather than describing a single place, the paintings hold fragments: a horizon, a body, a gesture, a trace of weather, a remembered colour, an emotional imprint. They are less about depiction than resonance.
The work is shaped by meditation, cultural in-betweenness, and years of travel across geographies. Moving through different landscapes has deepened my sensitivity to impermanence, atmosphere, and the residue that places leave behind. Rooted in observation and transformed through memory, my paintings ask how the world is not only seen, but absorbed, carried, and re-formed within us.
